IGS White Paper

IGS White Papers are the Society’s repository of official publications, policy briefs, and strategic industry studies—built to inform decisions across Indonesia’s gas value chain. Developed with technical partners and industry stakeholders, each paper provides data-driven analysis, clear terminology, and visuals that make complex market dynamics easy to grasp for policymakers, operators, and investors.

Flagship editions include “Enabling the Long-Term Viability of Gas in Indonesia’s Energy Transition Journey” and “Bridging the Next Gas Wave”. They map supply–demand, infrastructure needs, pricing signals, and regulatory reforms, and outline how gas can complement renewables through flexible power, LNG logistics, and lower-carbon technologies (e.g., CCUS, efficiency improvements).

Every paper ends with actionable recommendations—prioritized policy options, investment enablers, and implementation roadmaps with milestones and KPIs. The goal is practical impact: better project bankability, streamlined permitting, stronger domestic availability, and reliable, lower-carbon energy for Indonesia.
