PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Exceeds 2025 Oil and Gas Production Target

PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) recorded positive performance throughout 2025 in terms of safety, operations, environment, and corporate governance.

Sunaryanto, President Director of PHI, outlined the company's performance in safety, operations and production, finance, human capital, and community empowerment programs achieved throughout 2025. He emphasized that safety remains the primary foundation of all company activities.

"We recorded strong safety performance. I emphasize that no production target is more important than safety. In 2026, safety must remain the top priority in every work activity," said Anto, Sunaryanto's nickname, in his statement (January 26).

In terms of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), the company successfully recorded 41.8 million safe man-hours, with a NoA of 0 and a TRIR of 0.12. Meanwhile, in terms of environmental performance, the Company achieved seven Green ratings and four Blue ratings in PROPER 2025. From an operational perspective, oil production and lifting performance exceeded established targets, reflecting effective planning, operational performance, and strong cross-functional collaboration within the Company.

In terms of exploration performance, the Company achieved 100% of its target through the drilling of wells SBKD-001, MDP-1X, and SS-123, with all exploration wells recording discoveries. Above-target results were also recorded in the number of development wells drilled, workovers, and well service. The impact was evident in the increase in 1P and 2C reserves above target.

Anto commended all employees for their dedication and resilience in maintaining operational reliability amidst the complexities of mature fields.

"Oil and gas production remains maintained, facilities operate reliably, and energy supplies from Kalimantan continue to flow thanks to the discipline, care, and sense of responsibility of all officers. This is not the result of the work of one person or one function, but the collective effort of all elements of the organization and employees," he explained.

Entering 2026, Anto reaffirmed PHI's commitment to continuously prioritize safety, profitable investment, and strong governance as the foundation of sustainability, in line with the "10 Years Stronger" spirit and PHI's vision to continue supporting national energy security in the coming decades.

Meanwhile, Meidawati, President Commissioner of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), expressed her gratitude for the Company's performance and the meaningful 10-year anniversary of PHI's journey in supporting national energy security.

She stated that this decade has been a long journey marked by hard work, collaboration, and collective achievements of all employees. "Today, we are grateful to God Almighty because PHI has reached its 10th anniversary. This has been a long journey, and all these achievements are the result of good communication and cooperation from all parties," she said.

Meidawati also expressed her appreciation for the various achievements throughout 2025. She stated that PHI has successfully recorded positive performance worthy of pride, particularly in the aspect of oil and gas production. "I express my highest appreciation for the oil and gas production performance, which exceeded the Company's Work Plan and Budget (RKAP) targets," she said.

Regarding the HSSE aspect, Meidawati stated that the Company's safety performance continues to be well-maintained. She also emphasized the importance of strengthening asset reliability and securing operational areas to ensure all activities run more safely and reliably. "I never tire of reminding you that safety culture must be continuously promoted and truly understood and implemented, from top management to frontline workers in the field," she emphasized.

She hopes this 10th anniversary will strengthen the spirit of all PHI employees to continue improving performance, maintaining occupational safety, and making the best possible contribution to Indonesia's energy security.
